Conscious Breathing & Mindful Eating
Meet Jessica
Certified Holistic Health & Breathwork Coach
Jessica has a passion for helping people transform and thrive by optimizing the body’s natural capacity for healing. Jessica completed her first raw food fast in 2002 after going through a difficult personal time, losing her job and suffering from health issues. Once completed, she had never felt better — clear, calm, and vital. That experience began her exploration into various healing modalities — trialing dozens of dietary theories, yoga, meditation, breathwork and deep fasting journeys. She now helps others to nurture body, mind and spirit, on and off the plate, using whole food, breathing techniques, and lifestyle modifications.
Jessica received her Holistic Health Coaching Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and Columbia University Teacher’s College in 2008. She received her 200 hour Breathwork Coaching Certification from Idolem Academy in Montreal, Canada in 2025.
Jessica helps clients to nurture body, mind and spirit, on and off the plate, using whole food, breathing techniques, and lifestyle modifications.
Functional Breathing Techniques
WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
Breathwork is an ancient practice, present in numerous cultures and spiritual traditions throughout the world. It brings together various conscious breathing techniques designed to activate the vital life force within each of us, liberate stuck emotions and promote profound healing on all levels — physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Proper breathing starts through the nose and engages the diaphragm rather than the upper chest. Most people do not breathe correctly, taking shallow breaths from their mouths, constantly activating the ‘fight or flight’ response in the body. As such, their diaphragms (their breathing muscle) is in a state of atrophy. Like any muscle, the diaphragm needs to be trained by taking deep, nasal breaths utilizing the whole lung and respiratory system. A few simple breathing techniques, performed daily, are truly transformative and have profound benefits for body, mind and spirit.
Benefits include:
Expanded lung capacity & utility
Increased energy & vitality
Reduced anxiety, panic & tension
Improved mental clarity & focus
Better sleep
Induced calm & relaxation
Enhanced digestion & metabolism
Radiant, glowing skin (a bonus!)

Therapeutic Breathwork Journeys
Experience, bottom up, somatic healing and access to non-ordinary states of consciousness using a particular breathing pattern for an extended period of time. Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a simple but deeply powerful practice. At its core, it is a circular breathing technique where you gently remove the natural pauses between the inhale and exhale, creating a continuous flow of air. When you continue this circular breathing rhythm, you naturally shift how your body and mind operate on a physiological level. This deliberate way of breathing helps to quiet down the overthinking part of your brain. As your mind settles, your nervous system is given the safety and space to process stored stress, release heavy or repressed emotions and help you find a true sense of clarity.
Benefits include:
Quieting of the mind & inner critic
Down-regulation of the nervous system
Expanded awareness
Renewed sense of clarity & deep rest
Deep interconnectedness
Enhanced emotional resilience & integration
Non-food elements in life such as relationships, career, environment, and physical activity, impact short and long term health just as much as the food we eat.
